Things You Should Know…

  • Loose comfortable clothing should be worn to class
  • Generally heavy meals should be eaten 2 -3 hours before class
  • A very light meal can be eaten up to one hour prior to the start of class
  • The body should be hydrated throughout the day by drinking several glasses of water prior to the start of class, however, feel free to bring a bottle or two of water to class so you can continue hydrating your body as needed
  • Personal hygiene is imperative as your body will warm up during class, and you will begin to sweat
  • Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes to class. Lotions on the arms, hands, legs and feet should be avoided as they will become slippery as your body warms up
  • You will be required to complete a registration form prior to taking your first class.  If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, or you are on medication, please obtain clearance from your doctor prior to practicing Yoga
  • Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class. If it is your first class, plan to arrive  30 minutes prior to the start of class so you can complete your registration form, and ask any questions you may have
  • Yoga for the Soul has yoga mats with the printed “Yoga for the Soul” logo for sale. Cost $20 each
  • Be patient with yourself and honor your body.  Your progress will depend on your body and your practice over time.  Notice its called a Yoga Practice, not a Yoga Perfect. Enjoy the journey!
